This gag cartoon has turned out to be my most popular cartoon online (so far). And it makes sense. We all know someone like this and, as much as we’ll never admit it, it’s way too often us. Belief is a powerful drug. At least I believe that it is.
I worked in a bookstore once and I remember, no matter what strange request a customer had, we had to take it seriously. And hopefully try not to look horrified. In this gag cartoon panel, I suspect the poor guy should have purchased the book first. Also, an interesting note, a client rejected this cartoon with the red color but when it was changed to black and white, seemed to think it was ok. I suppose a monotone world feels much safer.
It goes without saying but I’ll say it anyway. It helps to understand what your customer base finds important and what they will pay for.
